Two months into Donald  Trump’s presidency, SACC will be joining with the Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC) to screen the film “Zone of Non-Being: Guantanamo”  and to review the previous administration’s handling of the camp and discuss what the future holds and how the Guantanamo story relates to the racism we encounter on the streets of Scotland. There will be a Q&A discussion with the film’s producer, Arzu Merali.

"There is a zone of nonbeing, an extraordinarily sterile and arid region, an utterly naked declivity where an authentic upheaval can be born" - Frantz Fanon
