MWAE will be working with several community groups on two half-day workshops involving a design workshop, followed by a production workshop which would involve painting the bins in Nicholson Square gardens
Insha Allah.

Workshop 1:  Generating ideas, images and stencil cut patterns.
Tuesday 7th August from 10 till 1.00pm
In the library at Edinburgh Central Mosque

This is about generating ideas, images and patterns for the bins based around the local area and the different groups’ interests.
After discussing and coming up with ideas for the overall designs we would learn how to design and make repeat patterns and graphic images that can then be made into cut stencils from vinyl.
Workshop 2: Applying the stencils to the bins through painting.
Date/time to be confirmed
At Nicholson Square Gardens

This workshop would involve painting the bins themselves through applying these stencils to them using spray and enamel paints.
The Free workshops are for brothers and sisters with different abilities & interests and would suit anyone over the age of 10 years upwards.
There are only 10 spaces for the workshop, which are on a first come first serve basis.
